The GP out of hours service provides urgent care for people in Belfast when their usual GP surgery is closed.
GP out of hours is not a replacement for normal GP services. It is there for people with serious problems that require urgent treatment. You should only use this service if you are suddenly ill and cannot wait until your GP surgery opens.
How to access the service
GP out of hours is not a walk-in service. You or your relative must first contact the service by phone:
- North and West Belfast: 028 9074 4447
- South and East Belfast: 028 9079 6220
A doctor or nurse will return your call quickly and decide on the best action to take.
